Meet Your Coach

Cherri L. King

Cherri first became an advocate for Teen/Tween and adolescents at a young age. Her mother was a Foster Care Parent to mentally challenged youth. It was through observing and her tutelage that she discovered youth will rise to the level of expectation that you set. If you set the bar low, they will not disappoint you.

Each program is a testament to Coach Cherri’s dedication to nurturing self-worth, leadership, cultural pride and purpose.
She has spent the last 15 years creating programming and collaborative partnerships to assist tween and teenage girls to build self-awareness, confidence and to recognize her passions as she embarks on this, often perilous, journey.
She created and facilitated a program called Fosters’ Future developed to prepare Foster Youth for life after emancipation. During her tenure as 1st Vice President for the National Council of Negro Women, View Park she was responsible for developing and implementing the district wide adolescent girls mentoring program, to underserved communities. Additionally, she founded CLK Business Coaching that taught new and emerging female business owner the tools to build confidence, self-awareness, and self-esteem to utilize their inherent leadership skills. CLK Business Services was created to support small to medium sized nonprofit organizations whose missions’ incorporated services that target issues prevalent for young and teenage girls in underserved communities.
Coach Cherri developed a passion for advocating for tween and teenage girls observing her mother in her role as a foster care parent. Under her tutelage, she learned that when tween and teenage girls are provided with a space in which they feel safe, supported and are taught tools to manage the myriad of challenges inherent at this stage of growth, they flourish.
